Objectives of the Course

This course aims to be an introduction to the international politic economy. The subjects of this course are analyzed theoretically both in historical and contemporary discussion frames. This course also aims to analyze the relations between international economical process and political institutions, and the reasons behind the state interventions to international economy.

Course Content

Theories of international politic economy, the central role and importance of the international financial institutions in the process of monetary and credit system, the rise and decline of hegemon states in historical process.
