The main objective of this course is to transfer the legal framework contract types and the rights and responsibilities of parties regulating national and international transportation operations to students. It is aimed that students gain the competence to manage logistics processes in compliance with legislation by analyzing legal disputes in road air maritime and railway transportation.
This course begins with basic legal concepts and the relationship of commercial enterprise law with transportation. The establishment of transportation contracts debts and obligations of parties and liability limits of the carrier are examined in detail. In the following weeks provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code international agreements such as the CMR Convention Montreal Convention and Hague Visby rules are discussed. In the final parts of the course multimodal transportation law insurance legislation and dispute resolution methods in transportation damages are debated presenting a legal logistics vision to students.
