The main objective of this course is to impart the processes of developing transferring and strategically managing technology to students to provide them with the skill to construct innovative business models. It is aimed that students acquire the competence to design technology oriented business models that create competitive advantage by using digital transformation tools in logistics and supply chain systems.
This course begins with the concept of technology management and the evolution of technology. Technology strategies technology transfer R&D management and innovation cycles in businesses are examined in detail. In the following weeks transition processes from traditional business models to digital business models platform economies and value creation mechanisms are discussed. In the final parts of the course applications of next generation technologies like the internet of things big data and artificial intelligence in the logistics sector are debated and sectoral analyses are conducted over the modern business model canvas.
