Objectives of the Course

The main objective of this course is to transfer the structural dynamics macroeconomic indicators and international supply chain networks of global trade and the world logistics sector to students. It is aimed that students gain the competence to make strategic global decisions by analyzing global freight markets bulk cargo transportation financial logistics instruments and international trade routes.

Course Content

This course begins with the phenomenon of globalization and the basic dynamics of international trade. Main logistics corridors around the world global ports and international transportation networks are examined in detail. In the following weeks global freight markets wet bulk cargo transportation freight forward agreements FFA and global investment instruments in the logistics sector are discussed. In the final parts of the course global supply chain crises geopolitical risk management strategies of multinational companies and green transformation trends in the world logistics sector are debated presenting a strategic macro vision to students.
