The main objective of this course is to make students comprehend the strategic relationship between innovation management and knowledge management by transferring the processes of creating sharing and transforming knowledge into corporate value within the framework of the knowledge economy. It is aimed that students analyze organizational learning mechanisms and intellectual capital elements to develop innovative knowledge strategies that will provide a competitive advantage.
This course begins with the concepts of the knowledge society and the knowledge economy. Explicit and tacit knowledge types knowledge creation processes and knowledge management systems in businesses are examined in detail. In the following weeks the impacts of intellectual capital organizational learning memory and knowledge sharing culture on innovation capacity are discussed. In the final parts of the course the role of big data analytics digital transformation and artificial intelligence supported information systems in innovation processes in data intensive sectors like logistics and supply chain are debated presenting strategic knowledge management applications.
