Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to convey a wide information about the international road freight transportation. The theoretical parts of these informations generally contain the determination of international road freight transportation, its importance in terms of globalized trade, related international organizations and conventions, Turkey’s and EU’s international road freight transportation sectors, allocated transit and ECMT licenses. Moreover, during the practical lessons, TIR tracking systems used by the road freight transporters in the region will be reviewed, UND TIR Park will be visited, all operations here will be followed, also Çeşme port will be visited within de context of multimodal transportation. During the practical lessons important documents for road transportation, such as TIR carnet, CMR, customs declaration, driver visa application form will be prepared. Accordingly, this course aims to gain students experience on international road freight transportation sector both theoretically and practically.
