Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to examine the core dynamics of transport markets and transport economics from an applied perspective. It aims to provide students with the ability to evaluate the interaction of transport systems with urban, regional, and national economic growth within the framework of economic theories, without focusing on any specific mode of transport.

Course Content

The scope of the course encompasses the basic economic concepts of transportation, the relationship between mobility and settlement, and the analysis of supply and demand balance in transport markets. Main discussion topics include internal and external costs in transport systems, pricing strategies, regulatory frameworks in the transport sector, and the role of international transport organizations.
