Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to teach basic information about the chemistry of hazardous materials, safe handling during transportation, and environmental rules. The content of the course is designed considering the requirements of the safety laws related to the transport of dangerous goods, the purposes of packaging and marking the dangerous goods.

Course Content

International conventions for the carriage of dangerous goods, the scope of the ADR convention, the obligation to obtain permission, special rules for the transport of dangerous goods, the obligations of the shipper, the obligations of the shipper, the obligations of the packer, penal provisions, the definition and classification of dangerous goods, explosives, gases, flammable liquids, flammable solids. , oxidizing substances, toxic and disgusting substances, radioactive substances and caustic substances, transportation and storage of dangerous substances, hazardous substance risk analysis, emergency first aid, selection of appropriate transport modes and use of hazardous and special substance signs, packaging instructions, Packaging features and labeling, issues including shipper and carrier responsibilities for hazardous and special substances are covered.
