Objectives of the Course

Making the students understand the world music concept, build the cause and the consequence about the different usage areas of music, and understand the interactions between world music and contemporary music.

Course Content

Studies on the “World Music” concept for making the students understand that music is not only an art component but also a part of the social life. In addition, a study on creating a right understanding on the functions of music except the art function by giving information about regional and national music will be done.
