Objectives of the Course

To comprehend cavity preparation techniques, hand instruments used in cavity filling, restorative materials, to know anatomy of enamel, dentine and pulp. to learn cavity preparation techniques and filling techniques.

Course Content

Common cavity principals, cavity principals of Black, Current cavity classification, hand instruments, pulp capping materials, application of amalgam and composite restorations, polish and varnish of amalgam and composite.

Learning Outcomes
1.To learn cavity principals, describe Black's and other current cavity principals, and know hand instruments and their usage.
2.To describe pulp capping and base materials.
3.Describe restorative materials.
4.To learn amalgam and composite filling application.
5.To learn finishing and polishing procedures of composite and amalgam restorations
