Objectives of the Course

Diagnostic tools in orthodontics and learning usage of these diagnostic tools in determination of orthodontic treatment need. Learning preservative, preventative treatment principles. Learning bending of orthodontic wires and design of appliances

Course Content

Diagnostic tools in orthodontics and usage of cephalometrics in orthodontic treatment planning, determination of growth and development, orthodontic cast analysis, bending active and passive clamps used in removable orthodontic appliances, process of orthodontic appliances

Learning Outcomes
1.To diagnose the patient's skeletal and dentoalveolar anomaly with cephalometric tracings.
2.To determine the patient's growth and development stage via hand-wrist films bend the orthodontic clasps and perform the laboratory processes of removable orthodontic appliances.
3.To desingn removable appliances that can be used in simple orthodontic problems.
4. To bend the orthodontic clasps and perform the laboratory processes of removable orthodontic appliances.
5.Have know ledge abaout model analysis
