Objectives of the Course

To teach dental terminology in English to medical (dental) students, enabling them not only to follow the relevant literature but also to communicate at a basic level with foreign patients while practicing their profession.

Course Content

This course aims to equip students with both fundamental knowledge of dentistry and English speaking skills specific to the field. Students will learn dental terminology in English related to instruments, oral anatomy, oral health, and treatment technologies. Emphasis will be placed on developing communication skills for clinical settings such as patient planning, emergencies, cosmetic and orthodontic treatments. By the end of the course, students will be able to effectively communicate in English about topics including gum disease, oral infections, surgical procedures, and anesthesia.
