Objectives of the Course

Periodontal surgery indications, treatment modalities, suturing techniques and suture materials, wound healing, and furcation lesion classification and treatment is aimed to discuss in this course.

Course Content

Surgical periodontal treatment modalities, indications and contrindications - Gingivectomy indications, instruments used during gingivectomy and post operative healing - Indications and contrindications of flap surgery; Modified Widman Flap; wound healing after flap surgery - Comparison of suture materials and various suture techniques used in periodontal surgery - Primary and secondary wound healing; repair and regeneration; comparison of various esective and regenerative periodontal surgical approaches. - Furcation anatomy, classification of furcation defects and treatment modalities.
