Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to gain basic knowledge and skills about the importance of using instructional technologies and instructional materials in learning-teaching processes, principles and elements of material design, selection of teaching materials, visual, audio and audio-visual tools used in teaching, the place and importance of information technologies in education.

Course Content

The importance and reasons for the use of technology and materials in education, selection of teaching materials, visual design principles, visual, audio and audio-visual tools used in teaching, computer, Internet and communication technologies and distance education applications in education.

1.Define basic concepts in instructional technologies
2.Determine and analyse the teaching objectives in accordance with the scope of the course.
3.Explains how to apply visual design principles when designing materials.
4.Explains how to apply visual design elements when designing materials.
5.Determines the type of material suitable for the achievements of the course.
6.Analyses teaching materials according to material evaluation criteria.
7.Be aware of current technologies used in teaching.
