To discuss the place of grammar in the new Turkish curriculum, to introduce the ways of impression and to examine middle school grammar acquisitions.
Basic concepts of grammar; Basic features of Turkish in terms of sound, form, meaning and syntax; the purpose of grammar teaching and grammar teaching; Evaluation of grammar teaching models and approaches (Behavioral, Cognitive and Constructivist) in Turkish Course Curriculum; Grammar outcomes in Turkish Language Teaching Program (Grades 1-8); Subjects (phonetics, morphology, semantics) in grammar teaching and the order to be followed in teaching; methods and techniques, examples of activities; text-centered grammar teaching applications.
