Objectives of the Course

Stages of Turkish education in Turkey, and the resulting implications of these stages, the results of training evaluation system.

Course Content

History of Turkish education, the importance of an educational perspective. Before the republic of education and teacher training institutions. Turkish Education Revolution, 1: Revolution, the historical background, philosophical, ideological and political foundations. Turkish Education Revolution 2: Unification of Education Law: historical background, scope, application and importance of the Turkish education system, secularization. Turkish Education Revolution 3: Co-education and the education of girls, Writing Revolution, public schools, public houses. Basic principles of the education system of the Republic of Turkey. Village Institute, Institutes of Education and Teacher Training Colleges. Universities and teacher training. The near-term developments in Turkish education.
