Objectives of the Course

To gain the knowledge and skills for doing a scientific research

Course Content

The basic concepts on scientific research, research methods, the instruments for collecting data, analysis of data, literature examination, problem solving, validity and reliability in the research, basic statistics, write a research report.

1.To be able explain the aim of science and the ways of reasoning, distinguish tne scientific knowledge from nonscientific one and have positivist point of view.
2.To be able to select the appropriate data collection tools or methods for the variables in a research question.
3.To be able to identify the population and sample of a research question and the size of the sample.
4.To be able to explain the sampling techniques and interpret the external validity related to sampling techniques.
5.To be able to distinguish research designs and interpret the internal validity related to selected design.
6.To be able to explain the structure of a survey and a relational research, design a survey or a relational research.
7.To be able to recognize the APA standards and employ them in writing a research report.
