Objectives of the Course

This course aims to equip the students with the knowledge and skills required for the protection of the mother, the fetus, the family and public health, as well as to increase the responsibility and the importance of midwife this area.

Course Content

Home visits, male and female anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system, pregnancy physiology, physiology of the mother during pregnancy, pregnant women physical examination, gynecological examination, prenatal care and follow-up, increasing the health of the mother and fetus during pregnancy, childbirth preparation of the family, reproductive health and the role of midwife.

Learning Outcomes
1.Knows the structures and functions of the female and male reproductive systems
2.Explains the physiology of the male and female reproductive systems
3.Knows how to perform a physical examination of a pregnant woman, can carry it out, and can evaluate the results.
4.Is knowledgeable about the home visit process and the home monitoring of the pregnant woman
5.TUnderstands the process of conception, can identify its signs and symptoms, and can explain maternal physiology and the changes occurring in bodily systems
6.Knows the normal developmental process of the embryo and fetus
7.May collect data from the pregnant woman, prepare and implement a midwifery care plan, and evaluate the outcomes, with the aim of maintaining and improving the health status of the pregnant woman and the fetus
8.Understands the course of a low-risk pregnancy and can distinguish conditions that deviate from the norm
9.Can plan and implement education tailored to the needs of the pregnant woman and her family in low-risk pregnancies
