Objectives of the Course

By the end of this course, the student will know the impact of social and economic changes on prenatal education, the philosophies and roles associated with prenatal education, and non-pharmacological methods for coping with labor pain; and will define their own philosophy regarding childbirth education.

Course Content

Historical development, purpose, and importance of prenatal education; philosophy and roles in prenatal education; non-pharmacological methods for coping with labor pain.
