This course aim to learned to student The definition and aims of music education The techniques of music education Listening and discriminating sounds Rhythm activities Singing songs Creative movement and dance Musical stories The music teacher?s properties and importance, The environment, Musical instruments, The relation between music and developmental areas, Music education of handicapped children, Practicing musical activities

Course Content

Definition of music, concepts related to music, importance of music in our lives, aims of music education, the effect of music education on development areas (mental development and creativity, social emotional development, motor development, language development), music and brain, importance of auditory perception in childhood and lifelong, Auditory perception and music development in childhood, musical techniques used in music studies in childhood, listening and discrimination, singing, creative movement and dance, rhythm, musical stories, the role and importance of the developmental / educator / family, Environment and instruments, Music related approaches, the therapeutic role of music, the preparation, implementation and evaluation of music programs that can be used to support development for different groups of children (e.g. babies, preschool children, primary and adolescent children, the disabled, hospitalized children ...), instruments that can be made from residual materials (maracas, sound boxes, rattle, ocean wave, wrist bell, dav ul, family participation chimes production, family participation music garden.
