Objectives of the Course

Adopting in patient and out patient children between 0-18 age group to hospital life effects of children-family-staff realtions and backing up applicaiton for children development.

Course Content

The history of pediatric health services, children with acute illnesses and pediatric emergencies, effects of acute illness on children, children with chronic illnesses (effects of chronic illness on children, developmental characteristics of children with chronic illnesses, reactions of children and adolescents to chronic illness, children and mothers with chronic illnesses -The relationship with parents, siblings, friends, school, teachers, healthcare professionals and other professionals and children who do not live with their biological family), family response in acute and chronic diseases, awareness of the family, hospitalized children and developmental effects of hospitalization (hospitalization by age groups) developmental effects (0-12 years, 3-6 years, 7-11 years, 12-18 years), effects of hospitalization on family and family relations, siblings and siblings relations, friends and friends relations, school life), preparing for life (family and child feelings in hospitalization decision, hospitalization Preliminary programs, preparation of the child for the hospital environment, the hospitalization process of the child, special situation during hospitalization: premature babies and their care, medical procedures and surgery, pre-operative preparation of children and adolescents, the operation process and family, post-operative children and adolescents, leaving the hospital), child and death (children's perception of the concept of death; The concept of death according to age groups (0-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-11 years, 12-18 years and adulthood), suggestions to the family for the child who meets the concept of death (infancy, preschool period, school period and adolescence) , hospitals, disease and death (sick child and the concept of death, fatal illness in children and suggestions for parents, medical personnel suggestions), hospitals, schools for children hospitalized at the hospital (period school in hospitalized children with developmental features in the world and in Turkey, hospital schools, hospitals working system of schools, hospitals and activities to be implemented in schools), child development experts in health care organizations in Turkey (children working areas of the developer, the child development clinic, inpatient services, game rooms, developmental pediatrics unit, child monitoring centers, primary health care services); Child development and teamwork in the Directorate of Health Directorate Public Health Services, Child development and team work in Public Hospitals, university child development and team work in hospitals, child development and teamwork in private hospitals and examples from the world).
