Objectives of the Course

An introductory to the structure, function, and dysfunction of the human nervous system.

Course Content

Physiological basis of psychology, Physiological Psychology is an interdisciplinary science which aims to investigate the interaction between brain and behavior, fundamentally understand of neuronal communication, neuroanatomy, and cognitive phenomena such as memory, emotion and language, How cognitive functions are effected by changes of the underlying neural structure and function

Learning Outcomes

1.	Students will be able to recognize different structures in central and peripheral nervous system
2.	To learn brain development from mother-womb
3.	Analyze the basic relationships between functions and structures of different areas of the brain using a physiological approach to understanding human behavior
4.	Recognize the main neurotransmitter substances and learn the effects of each on behavior

6.	Understand the role of nervous system in psychological and neurological disorders
7.	Will discuss the effects of problems in the brain on behavior and emotions.
