Objectives of the Course

To raise students who have knowledge in molecular biology, cell biology and molecular genetics and who can adapt the knowledge they have acquired to issues related to child development.

Learning Outcomes
1.Knowing the cell morphology and physiology in which genetic events occur
2.Being able to count the structure of the Genetic Material, the stages of Central Dogma
3.Knowing the Cell Cycle and cell division stages
4.Being able to explain the types of inheritance, inheritance patterns and chromosome number and structure irregularities
5.Having learned the subjects of autosomal and gonosomal diseases, gene mutations Infertility, mental retardation, gender anomalies, repeated ebortus and gain knowledge about genetic counseling issues in stillbirths
6.They will be able to give examples of childhood genetic diseases and have information about the molecular basis of these diseases.
7.They will be able to discuss the factors affecting behavior in childhood development at the gene-environment level.
