The main focus of the course is to lead students step by step through a meaningful academic writing assignment with new and real themes via academic skills such as critical thinking activities. During the course, firstly, students foster interest in the topic and develop a personal connection to the topic; then they explore content and expand their written and spoken language through learning-oriented vocabulary and word forms.
This course enables learners to predict content, identify main ideas of a short text, identify the details in paragraph, make inferences and express opinions, organize and synthesize information from the reading passages, read a timeline, correct false statements according to a text, match examples with the information in the reading, and read a chart.
