Objectives of the Course

Analyse financialisation in connection with the Global economic crisis. Define and compare alternative development financing methods for developing countries. Provide students with a basic knowledge of how international financial markets work and familiarise them with the tools of these markets. Explore methods used to manage risk in the global markets.

Course Content

International Monetary System, Currency Options, Currency and Interest Rate Swaps, Types of Transactions in These Markets, Forward Markets, Currency Futures, Operation of Foreign Exchange Markets.
