Objectives of the Course

Examining the economic, social and political structure of the empire to the extent it affects Ottoman diplomacy and enhancing the students' knowledge and interpretation level.

Foreign relations of the Ottoman Empire in the periods of establishment, enlargement, stagnation and collapse.
