The main objective of this course is to introduce the assessment tools used in education to the pre-service teachers and to make an introduction to the assessment techniques for getting to know learners from multiple perspectives and to the traditional approaches used in the assessment.
Assessment tools used in education and their traits. Tools based on traditional approaches. Written exams, short-answer exams, true-false type designs, multiple-choice tests, matching tests, oral exams, education to to examine learners in multiple aspects: observations, interviews, performance evaluation, portfolios, research papers, research projects, peer evaluation, self-assessment, questionnaires, important issues to pay attention in assessing achievement, assessing learning outcomes and scoring.
