Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to improve the extent of signs learnt within the scope of Turkish Sign Language for Translators and to familiarize students with American Sign Language (ASL) and International Sign Language (ISL).

Course Content

In this course, the instructor shows Turkish Sign Language (TSL) alphabet, the grammar, sentence structure, questions, signs, mimics and the effects of mimics to the signs and verbs. The instructor introduces the alphabet and basic signs of American Sign Language (ASL).

Learning Outcomes

1.	Students use finger alphabet of Turkish Sign Language (TSL)
2.	Students learn the basic signs and mimics of Turkish Sign Language by practising.
3.	Students learn basic signs of American Sign Language.
4.	Students conduct proper communication with the hearing-impaired and acquire the skill of assisting them in daily life.
5.	Students render a message from Turkish to TSL and vice versa.
