Objectives of the Course

It includes the transfer of general theoretical knowledge about cycling, introduction of basic skills and techniques, and teaching.

Course Content

Differences between sports, transport and recreational cycling Equipment, competition rules and basic skills specific to cycling disciplines Driving technique, safe riding, bike selection, basic bike maintenance Anatomical, aerodynamic, biomechanical and physiological factors affecting performance in cycling Mobility gains that can be achieved through cycling activities Supporting physical fitness with cycling activities Bicycle development in Turkey Projects related to recreational cycling activities, new initiatives and business opportunities

1.Gains general knowledge about equipment, competition rules and basic skills specific to cycling disciplines.
2.Gains knowledge of correct driving technique, safe driving, bicycle selection, basic bicycle maintenance.
3.Comprehends the relationships between anatomical, aerodynamic, biomechanical and physiological factors that affect performance while cycling.
4.Gains knowledge and participates in practices on the development of movement skills and physical fitness through cycling activities.
5.Comprehends the needs associated with sports, transportation and recreational bicycle use.
6.Learns about the initiatives and job opportunities related to cycling and recreational cycling activities in Turkey.
