Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information about teaching and applying badminton technical skills, teaching technical movements, and preparing students for teaching by making sample lesson plans using this information.

Course Content

Historical development of badminton sport: Badminton in the world, badminton in Turkey. Materials used in badminton sports: badminton field and net, badminton poles, racket, ball, clothing, shoes, auxiliary materials. Batting and running techniques in badminton: holding racket, basic stance position; Strike zones and types of hits: high serve, short serve, swip serve, overhead dunk, forehand overhand, upper left dunk, backhand hitting, forehand underhand, backhand underhand, drive, drop, net play ; running directions and techniques; teaching method of batting and running techniques. Tactics.
