The aim of this course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to contemporary fitness and performance assessment methods. The course covers pre-exercise health screening and risk assessment, body composition and posture analysis, cardiovascular and metabolic evaluations, as well as the measurement, administration, interpretation, and reporting of fitness and performance components including muscular strength, power, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, speed, agility, flexibility, and balance. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to evaluate physical fitness and performance levels using scientific and evidence-based approaches.
This course covers theoretical and practical aspects of pre-exercise health screening and risk assessment, selection, administration, and interpretation of fitness and performance tests, assessment of body composition and posture, cardiovascular and metabolic evaluation methods, and the evaluation of muscular strength, power, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, speed, agility, flexibility, and balance. In addition, the course addresses the analysis and reporting of test results and the application of assessment outcomes in individualized exercise programming.
