While media literacy aims to transform the passive relationship of the individual with mass media into an active one, it aims to strengthen the critical perspective and develop new individual discourses that provide the ability to challenge the specialised structure and traditions of commercial media culture. This course, which brings critical thinking on media texts, is a course that aims to increase the critical approach of students in both the production and consumption stages of their project work.
Teaching of basic concepts related to media literacy, examination of the concept of media literacy in sports, media literacy in the world and in Turkey
