Objectives of the Course

It is aimed that the students understand the nature, history and philosophy of science and learn how to use these concepts in physical and sports education.

Definition of science, its aims, characteristics, development and phases; History of Science, Philosophy of Science; Philosophical Movements and Their Effects on the Development of Science; History of Inventions; Epistemology; Ontology: Nature of Scientific Concepts; Scientific Information and Features; Scientific Method; Scientific Thought; Scientific Inquiry; Science and Society
