Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to evaluate the concept of language in terms of culture and to explain the relations between two concepts in detail. To give information about the social foundations of the bi-directional relationship between language and culture, to provide adequate equipment on the basis of this relationship in terms of literature.

Course Content

The concept of culture, language from the social point of view, Sapir and Whorf hypothesis, relationship between language and thought, Turkish cultural history, culture without culture, mute culture concepts

3. Learns to examine the traces of culture in linguistic differentiation in detail.
