Objectives of the Course

The purpose of the course is to inform the students on logistics and supply chain management. The course deals with topics including objectives and benefits of supply chain management, buyer-supplier relationship, information technology for supply chain management, enterprise resource planning, material requirements planning, manufacturing resource planning, distribution resource planning, computer integrated manufacturing, reverse supply chain management, outsourcing in supply chain management, supply chain network design and optimization.;In short the course aims to enhance the proficiency of students regarding logistics and supply chain management and allow them to carry out business applications

The course covers topics including basic concepts of logistics, supply chain, supply chain management and its importance, objectives and benefits of supply chain management, information technology for supply chain management, reverse supply chain management, supply chain network and optimization
