Objectives of the Course

Application of playing traditional violin techniques for Turkish music. Ability octave returning using the position V, III and I. Playing with one voice movement. Improving violin repertoire by listening to and playing the instrument and gaining self-ability while playing different songs in the GTSM.

Course Content

Traditional playing violin techniques of Turkish music will be thought as with their rules in the given lectures at the position V. position and playing the violin (from the octave) regarding the songs using V position. To countinue to play violin with triple transposition . Playing the violin will be studied after listening some samples from archive records. Starting to play the violin with self-ability.

4.Sorting the makam series according to the difficulties of the violin.
5.Preparing violin repertoire regarding rank order of the makam series.

Improving violin repertoire and gaining to play Zeybek, sirto (at the same place and as with triple transpose). Finger practices at the position V.

Improving violin repertoire and gaining to play Longa (at the same place and as with triple transpose).
Week 3 - Theoretical & Practice
Improving violin repertoire and gaining to play Oyunhavası (at the same place and as with triple transpose).
