Objectives of the Course

Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to develop the musical equipment of the students by theoretically examining the terms related to in-text orientation signs, nuance symbols, accidentals, tie lines, abbreviation marks, speed and rhythm terminology, makam and usûl terminology in Turkish music, and terminology related to genres in Turkish music within the scope of reading musical texts.

Course Content

This course includes theoretical explanations and readings aimed at developing students' technical, musical and musical text reading skills, such as in-text guidance signs, nuance symbols, accidentals, tie lines, abbreviation marks, speed and rhythm terminology, makam and usûl terminology in Turkish music, terms related to genres in Turkish music, and similar basic musical terms.
