Objectives of the Course

This course examines digital media interfaces as cultural, communicative, and ethical constructs. It situates user experience beyond the individual moment of interaction, within the contexts of embodiment, social relations, and power.

Course Content

Norman's human-centered design theory forms the backbone of the course, supplemented by phenomenological perspectives on experience, critical media studies, and the emerging discourse on humanity-centered design.

Learning Outcomes
1.Comparatively analyze interface design theories.
2.Critically examine digital media interfaces from a theoretical perspective.
3.Evaluate the social and ethical dimensions of design decisions.
4.Discuss humanity-centered design within an academic framework.
5.Write a critical analysis paper on a topic of their own choosing within the course's scope.
