Objectives of the Course

Folk dances are one of the most important disciplines that support all development areas and it is a universal language. The general objectives of the folk dance course are to improve the aesthetic aspects of the students, to develop their creativity and talents through dancing, to recognize local, regional, national and international dance cultures, and to contribute to their personality and self-confidence development.

Course Content

The emergence of Anatolian Turkish folk dances, the division of folk dances according to regions, examples of regional folk dances, the history of Turkish folk music, the concept of folk songs, types of folk music, examples of local folk music.
