To examine multidisciplinary content that develops strength, endurance, mobility and mental focus for high performance, and to explain the key components and phases of goal-oriented training for professional athletes and those engaged in advanced training.
The ‘Exercise Principles for High Performance’ course features multidisciplinary content designed to develop strength, endurance, mobility and mental focus, and includes key components and phases tailored to a range of participants, from professional athletes to those engaged in advanced training. Information is provided on the concepts of Warm-up and Mobility, Strength and Power, Energy Systems and Endurance, Core and Balance, and Cool-down and Recovery.
| 1. | It performs kinematic and kinetic movement analyses of athletes and can assess their force and power production. It identifies muscle imbalances and postural abnormalities. |
| 2. | Understands the physiological effects of extreme environmental conditions such as high altitude and temperature. Has a thorough understanding of aerobic and anaerobic energy systems and neuromuscular adaptation mechanisms. |
| 3. | He designs training programmes based on the principles of periodisation, tailored to the requirements of different sports and individual differences. |
| 4. | It reports on athletes’ development using quantitative and qualitative data, based on laboratory and field tests (VO² max, lactate threshold, Wingate test, etc.). |
| 5. | Plans recovery strategies to prevent fatigue, overtraining and the risk of injury associated with high training loads. |
| 1. | Analytical Studies on Performance in Exercise Science, by Cem Sinan Aslan and İzzet Karakulak, 2024, Özgür Yayınları. |
| 2. | Exercise Physiology: Health, Fitness and Performance, by Denise L. Smith, Sharon A. Plowman and Michael J. Ormsbee, 2025, Nobel Medical Publishers. |
