The economics master's program is mainly aimed at students who have taken economics formation, but is also open to students from different disciplines. For application, students must have received at least 55 points from ALES in the type of score specified in the announcement text. The total credit of the program is 120 ECTS. In order to be successful in a course, it is necessary to get at least 70 points (B3). The duration of the economics master's program is four semesters and the program must be completed in a maximum of six semesters. Economics master's program consists of at least eight courses, one of which is compulsory and seven of which is elective, provided that not less than 120 ECTS credits, a seminar, courses in the field of specialization and thesis work. The economics master's program provides students with the knowledge required by contemporary economics and provides the infrastructure they will need to work in the fields they want after graduation. The program prepares individuals who have completed their undergraduate education for doctoral education in specific fields, for the public and private sectors as individuals who have a flexible mindset and are competent in their fields.
History
Economics master's program continues its academic activities, which started in the 2021-2022 academic calendar, under the Department of Economics at Aydın Adnan Menderes University, Institute of Social Sciences.
Mission
The mission of the program is to provide the necessary economic knowledge and technical equipment to students who want to do doctorate, and to respond to the need for qualified researchers and manager economists needed by public and private sector institutions or businesses.
Vision
The vision is to equip the students of the program with the ability to use advanced analytical methods or techniques and the theoretical and applied knowledge of modern economics.
Purpose
It is aimed to train experts who can think uniquely and independently, who have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct research, who can integrate knowledge in different fields with studies in their field, who can use them for innovation, who have a critical perspective, who can produce solutions to problems in their field, and who are equipped with ethical values.
Physical Infrastructure
There are classes for 48 and 78 students in Söke Faculty of Business Administration, where the economics graduate program carries out its educational activities. There is also a meeting room that can be used for graduate courses if necessary. Its library and cafeteria serve students.
Technical Infrastructure
There are 80 computers with internet connection available for use during class hours at Söke Faculty of Business Administration, where the economics graduate program carries out its educational activities. At the same time, 24-hour uninterrupted high-speed internet connection is provided wirelessly in the entire faculty building. There are projectors in the classrooms.
