Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to examine the causes and effects of the economic crises that occurred in Turkey and around the world in the 20th century. It is aimed to examine the crisis indicators and the effects of international institutions on economic crises and to make evaluations on crisis management. It is aimed to enable students to interpret the global economy and analyze the economic crises that have occurred from the past to the present.

Course Content

In this course, the dimensions of economic crises will be examined on a national and international scale. In this context, first of all, crisis models will be mentioned, then analyzes will be made about the economic crises experienced in Turkey and the financial crises experienced in the world from past to present.
