The Department of Public Administration, as a unit operating within Aydın Adnan Menderes University, is a chair that aims to train individuals specialized in the field of public administration.
History
Aydın Adnan Menderes University, Söke Faculty of Business, Department of Public Administration was established in 2023 within the Institute of Social Sciences. In the development of the university's graduate programs, it aims to train qualified individuals specialized in the fields of Social Sciences and Public Administration. With the academic staff and knowledge of the Department of Public Administration, it is aimed to provide students with theoretical knowledge as well as practical, practical skills. In this direction, the master's program in Management Sciences within the chair has started to accept students.
Mission
As the Department of Public Administration, our mission is to contribute to the training of qualified managers, manager candidates, and academicians in line with the basic principles of our discipline. It is aimed to develop graduate students' analytical thinking skills and ethical values and to create a well-equipped human capital specialized in practice and practice.
Vision
Our vision as the Department of Public Administration is to contribute to the production of scientific knowledge in the field with its graduate program and to make disciplinary contributions by closely following the developments in the discipline of Public Administration / Management Science. It aims to educate future public administrators and experts with a public perspective, to produce innovative solutions with a perspective based on ethical values, and to educate individuals committed to the principles of sustainability.
Purpose
The main objective of the Department of Public Administration is to provide students with expertise in the field of public administration, to equip them with leadership qualities based on ethical values and to create a solution-oriented perspective on social problems. In this direction; to train expert public administrators, and academicians and to contribute to the scientific knowledge production of the discipline.
Physical Infrastructure
Our department building and floor are conducive for students to study, research, and interact. We also have a common space for students to work on projects, organize group discussions and interact with their advisors. Our technological infrastructure is robust, providing students with fast access to digital resources and online learning tools. In addition, the library located in the central campus and the library located in the administrative building of Söke Faculty of Business Administration are also open to the use of students and academics.
Technical Infrastructure
Students have easy access to online learning platforms, free Office 365 membership, and remote access to the library's databases. These facilities enable students and academics to produce scientific publications, data analysis, project management, and academic collaboration. Google Teams program is used for online lectures and presentations.
