Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to comprehend the relationship between politics and sociology and the arts and to develop an ideological inference and discourse analysis, especially from the content of cinema and literature.

Course Content

Politics and Art: Ideology and Discourse Analysis course examines cinema and literature, an artistic activity, in depth in terms of content. As a result of this examination, it reaches a political and sociological conclusion, makes an analysis in this context and deals with the subject within the framework of management sciences.

1.To have a theoretical background to associate politics, administration and ideology with art.
2.To apply scientific methods for the purposes of identifying, defining, discourse analyzing and interpreting social and political problems through film and literature
3.To be able to define a social, political and economic issue as an interdisciplinary problematic, to make comparisons and to associate it with art.
4.To be able to subject cinema and literature to discourse analysis and interpret them from an ideological perspective.
5.To put forward an interdisciplinary projection by associating management sciences with cinema and literature.
