Objectives of the Course

At the end of the course, it is aimed that students will have knowledge and ideas on these issues, know and interpret concepts such as information society, information society and globalization, and learn the characteristics of the international communication order in all its dimensions.

Course Content

Within the scope of the course, topics such as organizations and documents regulating international communication, international communication theories, international media and monopolization, globalization are covered. At the end of the course, it is aimed that students will have knowledge and ideas on these issues, know and interpret concepts such as information society, information society and globalization, and learn the characteristics of the international communication order in all its dimensions.

1.Will be able to evaluate the factors affecting international communication by considering all technical, social, political, legal and macroeconomic dimensions.
2.Will be able to question how political communication, political culture and public opinion are formed in international communication.
3.Will be able to question how political communication, political culture and public opinion are formed in international communication. Interpret the concepts of manipulation, propaganda, perception management, information and disinformation in international communication and the decision-making mechanisms of their actors.
4.Questions the effects of globalization, North-South divide and cultural imperialism in international communication.
5.Emphasizes the importance of international communication tools in the formation of national identity and international cultural identity.
