To provide a philosophical analysis of religion and understand its nature. To demonstrate whether religious concepts can be philosophically justified. To examine the foundations and justifications of religious beliefs using a philosophical method. To analyze the phenomenon of religion and seek answers to the question of what religion is. To help students use and understand primary and secondary sources in the philosophy of religion.
The roots of religion are deeply rooted in culture. What is religion? What is the origin and nature of religion? How have human beings conceptualized the religious dimension of human experience? The nature of religious language and the discourse about God. The problem of evil and theodicies offered in response to it. Religious diversity.
