Objectives of the Course

This course aims to teach the fundamentals of classical logic and its topics. It also aims to introduce the influential periods and works of classical logic and to focus on some of these works.

Course Content

Fundamental concepts, methods, and principles of Classical Logic; distinction between classical and modern logic, concept, types of concepts, relations between concepts, intension-extension, categories, definition, indefinables, proposition, types of propositions, relations between propositions, rotation, syllogism, types of syllogism, five universals, five arts, logical fallacies. Introduction to modern logic.
