Objectives of the Course

To introduce Islamic schools of thought, to address the main determinants of critical attitudes towards philosophers from different aspects, and to provide a foundation for graduate students who will study the history of Islamic thought by examining the works and views of prominent thinkers on this subject from a critical perspective.

Course Content

Schools of Islamic Thought in the Classical Period, Criticism of Philosophers by Theologians, Criticism of Philosophers by Sufism and Sufis, Criticism of Philosophy and Philosophers from Within Their Own, Research-Analysis and Criticism.
