Objectives of the Course

To address historical, conceptual and theoretical discussions on modernization and to examine the relationship between modernization and religion.

Course Content

Social developments and movements, developments before and after the modernization process, theoretical approaches explaining the modernization process, and developments in the religious field during this process are discussed.
