Objectives of the Course

It is to introduce the laboratory to graduate students who will work in the field of phytopathology, to ensure that they perceive the situations that need to be taken care of in terms of themselves, someone else and environmental health, and to raise awareness about taking precautions. While having knowledge about what can be done in the face of an emergency, it is to introduce the tools and equipment used and to explain the working areas and working principles. To provide information about the projects that will provide financial support to the studies, to help them create their own work schedules and timelines.

Course Content

General introduction of laboratories, climate rooms, greenhouses will be made. The dangers that may be encountered in these environments and the protection methods and what can be done in an emergency will be explained. The working principles of the tools and equipment used in the laboratory will be explained. In addition, information will be given about the projects and information will be given about providing financial support to the graduate students' studies. In addition to creating study programs, basic laboratory calculations will be explained. Information will be given on working with microorganisms. Finally, the collection, saving and management of study data will be explained.
